2013-14 Commonwealth and Freedom Conference Men's Basketball Preseason Polls:
ANNVILLE, Pa. - Two-time defending Commonwealth champion Alvernia University claimed the top spot in the 2013-14 Commonwealth Conference Men's Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll. The Crusaders earned eight of the possible 10 first place votes edging Stevenson and Messiah who claimed the second and third sports respectively.

ANNVILLE, Pa. - DeSales University the 2012-13 Freedom Conference runners up have been picked to claim the conference title in 2013-14 acording to the preseason coaches poll. The Bulldogs earned four first place votes to close out the poll with 45 points. Delaware Valley, the defending Freedom Conference Champions tallied two first place votes and finished in a tie for second with Misericordia with 40 total points.
